PURPOSE:To provide a collator for collating paper recorded by a recording apparatus and storing same, which can retain the full bin condition in storing means till the vacant bin condition is next detected at the time of detecting the full bin condition so as to prevent paper from being left in the bin. CONSTITUTION:A collator connected to a recording apparatus includes a vertical transport portion 1B where a fixed recording paper 8 is supplied from below and storing bins 27A-27C... arranged along the transport portion 1B. For example, a transfer guide 33A is pivoted on a shaft 35A by a solenoid 34A to store the recording paper 8 in the bin 27A. In this case, each bin 27 is provided with luminous elements 40A-40C... and 43A-43C... for vacant bin detection and full bin detection, and the back of each bin is provided with photocells 41A- 41C.... The collator further includes a memory for storing the full bin condition. Control means is adapted to retain the full bin condition storage of the memory until the vacant bin condition is detected by the photocells 41A-41C.... |
