<p>PURPOSE:To effect a strong bonding with good adhesion efficiently by forming reservoir spaces for adhesive on the adherend surface of a plastic molding which constitutes a first member applying a hot-melt adhesive to the reservoir spaces and pressing a second member such as aluminum decorative sheet for bonding. CONSTITUTION:Taking, as an example, an electric fan base which is made of polypropylene by one-piece molding and has a neck 2 for fan head affixation, tab fixing holes 3, 4, a groove 6 and adhesive reservoirs 7, 8, 9, a molten hot- melt adhesive is applied to groove 6 and reservoir spaces 7, 8, 9 of a base member 1 and then a cover 5 which is made of aluminum decorative sheet and has holes 11, 12, 13 and folds 14, 15 on the periphery and in the hole 11, is pressed against the base member 1 in such a way that the neck 2 may penetrate through hole 11 and holes 3, 4 may fit for holes 12, 13, respectively. The hot-melt adhesive may be applied to the areas of the decorative sheet opposite the reservoir spaces for bonding under heat.</p> |
