Disc brake comprising at least one substantially disc-shaped brake pad (20) held in a movably mounted brake pad holder and being capable of application by means of a clamping fixture (2) against a ring-shaped friction surface (1') of a brake disc (1), and the axis of the said brake pad being perpendicular to the friction surface (1') for the circular shape, wherein the brake pad holder (18), which turns during brake applications, is mounted rotatably about a bearing (17) which can be subjected to loading by the clamping fixture (2) and which contains the pad holder axis (19) extending at least approximately coaxially to the axis for the circular shape of the brake pad (20).</p> |
