PURPOSE:To produce a unidirectional electrical steel plate having improved watt loss by contg. a specific content of Cu in a silicon steel blank material consisting essectially of specific ratios of C, Si, Mn, S and subjecting the material to hot rolling and final rolling under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:Cu is contained at 0.02-0.2% in a silicon steel blank material consisting essentially of <=0.085% C, 2.0-4.0% Si, 0.030-0.090% Mn, 0.010- 0.060% S. The finishing outlet temp. in the hot rolling stage for this blank material is controlled to 900-1,050 deg.C in the head part of the hot rolled plate and to 950-1,150 deg.C in the central and tail parts, and the strip is subjected to final rolling at 50-80% cold rolling draft. Stable secondary recrystallization is performed by such rolling. The watt loss value is decreased further by adding about <=0.1% Sn, and the content of P in the steel is required to be kept at about <=0.01%. |
