摘要 <p>A mechanical device for adjusting or altering the level of the mould base block for a variable cavity depth mould includes a lead screw (10) turning within a threaded collar or nut (12) in response to torque applied by a relatively low powered hydraulic motor. The motor is coaxial with the lead screw and a rotary device for controlling the limits of rotation of the drive system and the corresp. axial displacement of the mould block. Used esp. for shifting cylindrical base blocks of moulds for multiple shot shoe sole injection, esp. where the block requires precise adjustment for alignment with alternative injection gates. Reaction to the moulding pressures is supported mechanically by the collar (12), without transmission to the motor (11), allow the latter to be small and compact simply to provide torque for mould displacement without also having to provide the clamping force.</p>
