PURPOSE:To perform image pickup with high performance, by providing a detector consisting of a multi-element CCD rotating together with a satellite main body for the transmission side of a radiometer for a satellite, locating the elements on the circumference shifted with a half picture element and compensating the time difference due to the position of the elements at the reception side. CONSTITUTION:A detector 20 consisting of multi-elements CCD and a pickup output signal procesor 22 are rotated with the satellite main body at the transmission side of a satellite use radiometer. The direction of a light collecting section 18 and reflection mirrors 191, 192 to the earth is fixed to the center axis of the satellite. In the detector 20, CCD sensors are arranged on the image forming surface of the section 18 for image pickup and A/D conversion and modulation for image pickup signals can be performed. The fitting location of each element of the detector 20 is shifted on the circle by a half picture element to obtain double resolution in comparison with the arrangement before the shifting. The processed signals are transmitted from an antenna 25 fixed to the satellite center axis via a conversion section 24. On the other hand, at the reception section, the time difference due to the arranging location of the multi-element sensors can be compensated at a delay circuit. |
