PURPOSE:To obtain a developer not causing dullness, turbidity, etc. when a large number of copies have been made in high temp. and high humidity with a developer obtained by mixing a chromatic color toner, by using a carrier having a transmittance of the supernatant of a reference solution dispersing the carrier not below a specified value. CONSTITUTION:In a developing system using a 2-component type developer containing both of toner and carrier, especially using a magnetic brush, a carrier used has a >=25% transmittance of the supernatant of a reference soln. such as ethanol or methyl ethyl ketone, dispersing the carrier. The higher its transmittance, the less the stains attached to the carrier surface, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic developer to prevent dullness, turbidity, trains, etc. of change of tones, and deterioration of image quality when the developer is mixed with a toner having a chromatic color and has been used for continuous multiple copying. |
