During the driving of rise and/or dip headings, in particular in underground coal mining, the excavated material is normally loaded by hand onto a scraper chain conveyor laid on the floor. To facilitate and mechanise the loading work, the invention provides for a scraper chain conveyor supported and movable by means of a rolling truck to be arranged on the scraper chain conveyor. This scraper chain conveyor, which can be supported and moved by means of a rolling truck, is provided with a drive, is designed so as to be pivotable via hydraulic motors, projects beyond the scraper chain conveyor in the direction of the face and is equipped with a loading device.
