PURPOSE:To smoothly wash a ship by taking out a cooling water which has just cooled an engine through a branch passage branched off from a cooling water passage and providing a stop valve on said branch passage. CONSTITUTION:A water pump 32 is driven by an intermediate transmission shaft 26, and feeds under pressure sea water around a ship 10 which is taken in from a water inlet port 34, and the like, into a water feed passage 36 as a cooling water. The chief route of the cooling water is one which discharges the water out into water via a discharge passage 44. On the other hand, the other route is a branched passage 46 which is branched off immediately before a temp. sensing valve 40. And, a stop valve 56 is provided on the passage 46 on the outside of a bottom cowling 22 of a connecting pipe 48 and, further, a hose is connected to its end part. Thus, it is not necessary to separately use a pump., etc. or to use a power for scooping up water, and the like. |
