PURPOSE:To improve the effectiveness of an address conversion buffer storing the correspondence between a virtual address and a real address, by providing an entry number determined with a plurality of algorithms for a plurality of compartments. CONSTITUTION:An output (a) of an LA register 1 storing virtual addresses is given to an entry number generating circuit 2 generating entry numbers (b) and (c). The entry number (b) is given to an address conversion buffer 3 and the entry number (c) is given to an address conversion buffer 4 respectively. To each entry of the address conversion buffers 3 and 4, a virtual address VA and a real address RA are stored correspondingly. The output of the address conversion buffers 3 and 4 is respectively given to one input of comparison circuits 5 and 6. To another input of the comparison circuits 5 and 6, the output (a) of the LA register 1 is given respectively. |
