The invention relates to a large container, which can be used for treating crushed grapes, among other things, and on the floor of which there is arranged a motor-driven worm shaft for discharging the rape. The invention consists in the fact that the inside end of a juice outlet pipe (12) is arranged above a horizontal plane (19) which passes through the axis of the worm shaft (14). This ensures that when the juice has been let off, the worm shaft is still in the region of the residual juice and that therefore the rape in this region is still sufficiently loose for it to be discharged by the worm shaft without further treatment. <IMAGE>
