A two-jaw chuck has two guides next to one another in which in each case a basic jaw (12) is displaceably arranged. With a threaded part (15), each basic jaw (12) engages in a threaded spindle (16). On the side of each basic jaw (12) located opposite the threaded part (15), an auxiliary jaw (13, 14) is fastened to the respective basic jaw (12).
