PURPOSE:To inhibit the charging, to improve the running stability and to reduce the output change by laying a coated film contg. a specified quat. ammonium salt and a silicone lubricant or a fluorine-contg. lubricant on the back side of a substrate having a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:A coated film contg. powder of a quat. ammonium salt represented by the general formula and a silicone lubricant or a fluorine-contg. lubricant is laid on the back side of a substrate for forming a magnetic layer. The preferred ammonium salt has a bivalent phenyl group having no substituent as Z, 1 as n and Cl as X in the formula or O as Z, 2 as n and Cl as X, and the preferred average particle size of the ammonium salt is <=5mum. The thickness of the coated film is generally regulated to about 0.05-5mum, and vinyl chloride- vinyl acetate copolymer resin or the like is used as a binder for forming the coated film on the substrate. |
