Heating mats (19) for surface heaters are produced by means of the method. At least one electrical heating cable (11) is provided which is laid such that it is wound transversely on to a plurality of continuous plastic strips (10). In each case one attachment strip, which locks the heating cable (11), is fitted continuously onto the plastic strips (16) and is firmly connected to the associated plastic strip (16) by the influence of heat. In order to produce a regularly constructed heating mat (10), a heat sealing strip (17) is used as the attachment strip, is placed with its adhesive layer on the plastic strip (16) as it runs off a supply roller (26) and is made adhesive by a heat source (28). <IMAGE> |
