<p>PURPOSE:To input and output streaming at a high speed running, by performing reverse running after deceleration and stop motion, and stopping the device within a data before a blank-paused part, when stopping a capstan to the blank- paused part between data blocks in a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:The explanation is performed here that a magnetic tape 1 is fixed and a head is moving. For the comparison, the start and stop of the head in normal running is shown in dotted lines (a). Solid lines (b) express the principles of operation. The forward drive of a capstan is decelerated at the start point 15 of a data block 14, the capstan is stopped at a point 16 in the block 14, immediately reversed and accelerated and performs reversing in a constant speed at point 17, is decelerated at a point 18 and returned once to a block 13 and the reversing is stopped at a point 19. In receiving a restart signal, the capstan starts forward from the point 19, is accelerated and when the capstan reaches a point 20 of stationary speed, write read of the block 14 is started from a point 21 to be entered to the streaming state.</p> |
