Cloth feeder

The invention relates to a cloth feeder for sewing machines, especially domestic sewing machines, which has tooth shapes optimum in terms of transport during sewing forwards and backwards. The cloth feeder according to the invention is produced from an elastic composite steel/plastic material by stamping and injection moulding. As a result of its constructive design, it acquires a permanent pretension which guarantees a plane-parallel bearing of the cloth feeder against the pressure foot and therefore a straight transport of the sewing material. Weight reductions of 50-60% in comparison with previous cloth-feeder designs moreover improve the vibration behaviour of the sewing machine.
