PURPOSE:To prevent edge effect and fog in the case of using magnetic particles coated with a resin having low surface energy as carriers, by adding an electrically conductive powder into developer, and mixing them. CONSTITUTION:As a carrier core, 20-1,000mum size iron or ferrite is used and this surface is coated with a resin having low surface energy, such as fluorine- containing resin or silicone resin. The carriers thus prepared, toner, and fine conductive powder are mixed to obtain a developer for use in a magnetic brush. As the fine conductive powder, 0.01-0.5mum particle diameter powder, such as tin oxide, silver powder, nickel powder, copper powder, aluminum powder, iron powder, carbon black, graphite, or molybdenum sulfide is used, preferably by 1-10% of the toner weight. |
