PURPOSE:To simplify assembling, and to prevent unevenness of light distribution, and to reduce the size, by inserting a fiber array into a reflector having a parabolic surface which is fixed on a hollow tube and adjusting the inserting position. CONSTITUTION:The optical axis of a reflector 1 with a parabolic surface, a hollow tube 12 and the core 7 of a fiber array 4 and the center axis 1 of an input optical fiber 3 are made coincident each other, the reflector 1 is fixed on one end of the hollow tube 12 and the center part close to the focus of the reflector 1 is positioned on the end surface 13 of the hollow tube 12. An indication scale 14 showing the position of the neighborhood 9 of the focus is marked on the surface of the core 7 of the fiber array 4 and the end surface 10 of the center element 7 is made coincide with the end surface 13 of the hollow tube 12 by inserting the core 7 into the hollow tube 12, so that the end surface 5 of the input optical fiber 3 can be positioned on the neighborhood 9 of the focus of the reflector 1. After positioning, the core 7 and the hollow tube are fixed each other with an adherent. |
