PURPOSE:To increase the compressibility of point data and a printing speed by counting the same data in succession. When extracting the one-dimensional data from two-dimensional data in an image table, and adding data containing the counted value to preceding data. CONSTITUTION:Data D1 read out of a memory 3 are set in a register 4, and then stored in a memory 10 and also set in a register 5. Then when data d1 are read out and set in the register 4, a discrimination part 6 compares the data d1 with the data D1. Further, when data d2 are read out, the discrimination part 6 outputs an inhibition signalIbecause the data d1 and d2 have the same contents, thereby driving a counter 7 by one. When data D2 read out right after the counter 7 goes up to 8 are set in the register 4, the deciding part 6 generates successive command data A8. The data A8 is a command to print the same data as the data d1 successively by eight, and stored in the memory 10 in succession to the data d1. |
