PURPOSE:A ground conditioner capable of strengthening soft soil in a short time independently of a gelling temp., which is prepd. by compounding an alkali silicate, a water-sol. aldehyde compd., a hydrogensulfate and a water-sol. aluminum compd. in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:30-50pts.wt. alkali silicate, pref. one of SiO2/Na2O ratio 3-3.3, e.g., no.3 water glass, 3-16pts.wt. water-sol. aldehyde compd. such as glyoxal, 2-7pts.wt. hydrogensulfate such as sodium hydrogensulfate and 0.1-2pts.wt. water-sol. aluminum compd. such as aluminum sulfate or potassium alum are compounded to prepare a ground conditioner. Said conditioner is usually used as an aq. soln. of solid concn. of about 35-65wt%. |
