<p>Noise prevention devices in an automobile door locking apparatus, which include a resilient cover mounted to a latch, a spiral torsion spring mounted to a shaft of said latch, and other resilient means. Said cover lessens striking noise between said latch and an automobile door striker and also between said latch and a ratchet for locking the former, and also acts to lessen rubbing noise between said latch and a cover plate of the apparatus housing. Said torsion spring cushions also, in addition to biasing the latch, to prevent the rattling of said latch.</p> |
