<p>A discharge electrode for electrostatic precipitators comprises flat metal strips with their edges towards the precipitation plates. The strips are so arranged as to intersect one another, pref. at right angles, thus forming a grid. With this layout, the strips are perpendicular to the plane of the grid, so that if a strip breaks, it does not tend to leave the plane and approach the precipitation plates.</p> |
