FORMATION OF NOZZLE FOR BOTTOM BLOWING OF GAS

PURPOSE:To form a nozzle for bottom blowing of gases inexpensively and to facilitate its replacement by setting a nozzle fitting for blowing of gases in the opening of a furnace bottom and packing refractories in the opening. CONSTITUTION:An opening 5 for a nozzle for blowing of gases is provided to a furnace bottom by means of a shell 2, a permanent lining 3 and a wear lining 4. A nozzle fitting 6 for blowing which has a wind box 7, is connected with a gas supply pipe 8 on the bottom surface and is joined with metallic pipes 9 of a desired quantity and a desired size on the tap surface is set in the opening 5 and is fixed by means of a fixing and mounting plate 10. A dry stamping material 12 such as MgO is supplied from above through a supply pipe 11 and is packed under oscillation with an oscillator 13. Thus the formation of the nozzle for blowing is made easy and its replacement is made simple.
