<p>The present invention relates to a new lead additive capable of being used inter alia in the glass industry, e.g., in crystal-works, and the ceramic industry, as well as to the process for obtaining it. Thus the specification discloses a lead additive containing a lead ox de and an alkaline silicate characterized by the fact that the weight ratio of the quantity of lead, calculated as PbO, to the quantity of alkaline silicate, calculated as SiO2, is greater than approximately 95:5; that the humidity rate of said additive is less than or equal to 2 %; and that its density is not over 5 g/cm3.</p> |
