PURPOSE:To retrieve KANJI (Chinese character) characters in a homonym group automatically according to the frequency of use only at operator's need, and to improve the operability, by rearranging and storing the homonym group in a memory according to the frequency of use. CONSTITUTION:The keyboard 1 of KANJI input equipment is provided with various keys, such as KANA (Japanese syllabary), alphabet keys, and numeric keys, and a sort key SORT which outputs a sort instruction for driving a sorting circuit 2. When this circuit inputs the sort instruction, the array of a homonym group stored in a memory 4 is rearranged according to the frequency of use. When a searching circuit 3 inputs information on the reading from the keyboard 1, KANJI information which corresponds to said information is retrieved in the memory 4 and applied to a character generator 5, and KANJI characters in the homonym group from the memory 4 are displayed on a CRT display device 6. On the operation of the key SORT, the KANJI characters in the homonym group in the memory 4 are changed automatically according to the frequency of use to facilitate operator's operation on the equipment. |
