发明名称 MEASURING DEVICE FOR SURFACE ROUGHNESS OF WOODEN MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure surface roughness with good accuracy without being affected by the disturbance such as colors, moisture contents and the like by detecting the information on ruggedness stored by pressing a pressure responding member to the surface of a sliced thin veneer or the like optically. CONSTITUTION:A pressure responding member is pressed to the surface of a sliced thin veneer 8 or a raw log 7 under slicing and the information on ruggedness is stored in the surface thereof. Said information is detected optically, whereby the surface roughness of the wooden material is determined. For example, while the veneer 8 is sliced from the log 7 by a blade 6, a pressure sheet 11 is passed between the log 7 and a pressure roller 9, and the reflected light from the sheet 11 passed therebetween is picked up with an ITV camera 14, the signal whereof is binary coded 15, and the binary coded signal is counted 16 by area. The sheet 11 has a property of coloring when exerted with a constant pressure. If the surface roughness of the log 7 is small, a color is formed over the entire surface of said sheet and if the surface roughness is high, no colors are produced.
