<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently recover high purity Al from a twisted Al wire having a steel core when the wire is introduced into a molten Al bath to recover Al, by separating the Al wires from the twisted Al wire beforehand. CONSTITUTION:When a twisted Al wire C having a steel core is uncoiled from a drum 1 and introduced into an Al melting furnace 2 provided with a burner 3, the twisted Al wires of the wire C are expanded by preheating with a preheating furnace 5 to form a gap between the wires and the steel core. A heat resistant guide tube 8 is fixed in the gap, and the tip of a tapered disjoining jig 6 having a pierced central hole 7 in which the steel core is inserted is allowed to bite into the gap. Thus, the wire C is separated into the steel core and the Al wires, and only the Al wires are introduced into a molten Al bath 4 and melted. The steel core is coiled around a drum 9 through the hole 7 and the tube 8.</p> |
