PURPOSE:To make it possible to widen the width of density variation of a character or an image to be recorded, in response to the number of nozzles by using plural nozzles and electrical multi-polar electric field in the head of an ink jet type printer. CONSTITUTION:Nozzles 1, 2, 3 are impressed with a high voltage 9, 10, 11 respectively, and jet ink particles pass through a small hole 7 of an accelerator electrode 4 and reach a recording paper 6 passing through a quadruple electrode 5. Here, density representation is basically determined by the number of ink particles to be jetted out from plural nozzles. The diameter of particle in case that ink particles are jetted out from only one nozzle is the smallest and that of particle in case that they are jetted out from 3 nozzles and consolidated together becomes the largest. When ink particles enter the electric field of the quadruple electrode, their orbit is corrected by the effect of an electric field of an AC power source 12 and they are caused to fly on the central axis of the quadruple electrode 5 and reach the recording paper and form a dot 8. |
