PURPOSE:To uniformly heat a material to be heated by an axial-flow burner system by changing the quantitative distributions of radiant heat of burner flames with the passage of time to heat the material while controlling the temp. CONSTITUTION:In low load operation, burners in the same combustion zone are divided into firing burners and extinguished burners, and the firing burners are maintained in a state close to the rated combustion. The firing burners and the extinguished burners are alternately arranged one by one in the lateral direction of the furnace, or groups of a plurality of firing burners and extinguished burners are arranged. Burners on the same line are alternately fired and extinguished in the longitudinal direction of the furnace. The firing burners and the extinguished burners may be alternately changed over with the passage of time to conduct control. By combining burner flames having different quantitative distributions of radiant heat with the passage of time, the required amount of fuel is fed so as to make the temp. of a material to be heated uniform. |
