PURPOSE:To enable safe control of a truck without releasing a hand from a steering handle by permitting the tilting position of the advance and retreat shaft to be engaged or disengaged, in response to the ON/OFF operation of a travelling clutch pedal. CONSTITUTION:A driver on a driver's seat 7 turns a steering 2 in order to change the direction of advance. In speed change, if a clutch pedal 3 is stepped- in, an engagement body 14 is released from a rack 13, and a shaft 1 is made to swing freely in the longitudinal direction A of a cart, and the low speed range or the advance and retreat range is obtained with forward swing of the shaft 1, and the high speed range is swung obtained with backward swing, so if the shaft 1 is swung to the required position necessitated and clutch 3 is returned, the rack 13 is fixed again by the engagement body 14. |
