PURPOSE:To increase serum yield by effecting quick coagulation of blood for the better separation thereof, by adding specimen blood to a blood inspection vessel after a mixture of a specified reagent and a siloxane copolymer is applied and dried on the inner wall surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A solution of 2,2', 4,4'-tetrahydroxybenzophnone of the formula and a siloxane copolymer dissolved and dispersed in methanol or the like at the weight ratio of 1:0.05-100 is applied and dried on the inner wall surface of a blood inspection vessel made of glass, polypropylene or the like. An adsorptive inorganic substance such as fine silica powder may be added to said solution to enhance the effect of promoting blood coagulation. Blood is sampled into the vessel thus obtained and undergoes a centrifugal separation after the coagulation to obtain serum as a supernatant. The synergetic effect of the specified benzephenone and siloxane causes the blood to be coagulated in 20-40sec thereby providing serum completely free of fibrin with a better yield. |
