PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having decoloring property in a processing treatment and capable of eluting satisfactorily from the titled material and reducing extremely residual color stain after processing, and of lessening exceedingly an effect against the photographic emulsion by incorporating the specific merocyanine dyestuff to at least any one layer of the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material comprises at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer, and contains the merocyanine dyestuff shown by the formula I in at least any one of said layer. In the formula, X is a chalcogens atom, etc., L1-L6 are each mathine group, R1 is a group which may be substd., R2 is heterocyclic ring, aryoxy, carbamoyl or cyano group, R3 is alkyl group, R4 is alkyl group or halogen atom, etc., R4 may form a naphthalene ring by condensating together with each other, R is aryl or alkyl group, M is a cation, (n1)-(n2) are each 0 or 1, (p) is an integer of 0-3, (q) is an integer of 0-4, R4 may be same or different with each other, when (q) is an integer of 2-4. |
