PURPOSE:To obtain a monitor system where it is unnecessary to monitor always the picture of an image receiver, by adding the system, where detection information is transmitted normally, and the information is switched to video information as required, to the video transmission/reception system. CONSTITUTION:In the normal mode, detection information (normality or abnormality) from detectorsI-III are sent from a transmission adapter 8 to announcing devicesI, II, and III through an electro-photo converter 6, an optical cable 1, a photo-electric converter 7, and a reception adapter 9 to monitor pictures. If the detectorI3 is operated because of the occurrence of some abnormality, the abnormality signal is transmitted, and the reception adapter 9 indicates the abnormality, and the mode is switched to the picture mode. In the picture mode, video information from a camera 2 is displayed on a TV monitor 10, and the mode is switched to the normal mode again after the elapse of a certain time. While the abnormality signal is transmitted continuously from any detector, the mode is switched to the picture mode again, and this operation is repeated. |
