PURPOSE:To economize in software for line control, by controlling an interface line by one adapter for half duplex line connection for the line control when two adapters for half duplex line connection are used to perform the full duplex line operation. CONSTITUTION:In respect to the same adapters 1 and 2 for half duplex line connection, T and R lines of the full duplex line are constituted with a line 14 as the T line of the adapter 1 and a line 17 as the R line of the adapter 2. A connection line 12 of the adapter 2 generates outputs 0 and 1 in accordance with the half duplex state and the full duplex state, and a connection line 13 generates outputs 1 and 0 in accordance with data transfer and nontransfer; and in the half duplex operation, gates 4 and 5 are turned off, and a gate 3 is turned on, and lines 14 and 16 of the adapter 1 are connected to a line terminating device; and in the full duplex operation, the gate 4 is opened, and gates 4 and 5 are turned on for the line control to connect an R line 15 and a connection line 22 and the line control is performed by lins 15 and 17 of the adapter 2, and lines 14 and 22 are connected through the gate 3 for the data transfer to transmit data and receiving data is received from the line 17. |
