PURPOSE:To prevent an engine stop upon re-starting the supply of fuel by a method wherein the cooler compressor is separated from the engine temporarily when the fuel is cut upon reducing the speed of the engine and the revolving number of the engine is reduced to a value below the predetermined one. CONSTITUTION:When a throttle valve 6 is detected that it is located at the position of the opening degree of idling by a throttle switch 15 and the revolving number of the engine, which is slightly larger than the same upon fuel cut returning, is measured by an engine revolving number sensor 14, the control system 20 disengages a clutch 13 and separates the cooler compressor 12 from the engine 1 to stop it until a predetermined period of time is elapsed after the revolving number of the engine is reduced to the same upon fuel cut returning, even when a clutch switch 16 is closed and the cooler compressor 12 is to be driven. |
