PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the inquiry of the method of payment to customers before the detailed registration, and to provide the freedom for the control of a cash register, by discriminating the presence/absence of magnetic card reading at any point of time of key input processing. CONSTITUTION:Data recorded on a magnetic card is read with a card reader CRD. In case of reading with the said CRD, it is set to the 1st memory MM. If the said 1st memory MM is set when a card reading key CK of a keyboard KB is depressed and an input designating the transaction by a magnetic card is received, the totalizing operation for registration processing is done and the request of reading of the magnetic card is made. Thus, the inquiry of the method of payment to customers before the detailed registration can be eliminated. |
