PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording member which can be used to an inexpensive device with which servo driving for tracking is possible with the electric signal, by forming a photoresist layer on a substrate, vapor-depositing a recording material after development and then deleting the image part. CONSTITUTION:A photoresist is coated on a glass substrate 1 to form a photoresist layer 2. The layer 2 is exposed spirally to light by the argon laser and then developed. Thus a resist image (exposed part) 3 remains on the substrate 1. Then Te is coated with 300Angstrom thickness on the substrate 1 by a vacuum vapor deposition process. Thus a projected part of the image 3 having A Te layer 4 vapor- deposited on the surface and a depressed part 4 containing only the vapor- deposited Te and formed on the substrate. Furthermore the projected part is solved by a solvent, and accordingly only the vapor-deposited Te remains on the substrate 1 to form a linear recording layer. As a result, an optical information recording member containing a substrate and a desired track-shaped recording layer is obtained. |
