In case of using multi-cell electrodialysis, a concn. difference was produced because of the change of induced sea water temp. Water mol. was decomposed to form OH- ion due to the concn. difference and OH- ion associated with Mg++ ion to precipitate scales of Mg(OH)2. So the electrodialysis operation was obstructed. A concn. difference was removed by interrupting current to the electrodialysis when the temp. change of sea water was about ± 3≦̸C for 30 min after the temp. change started and supplying current when the temp. change was about ± 1≦̸C for 30 min.
