PURPOSE:To obtain a recording/reproducing disk having a solid metallic protecting film on the surface, by forming a reflecting metallic film on the signal distributing surface of a resin disk, and furthermore, a protecting metallic compound film on the rear surface of the resin disk respectively by a special ion coating process. CONSTITUTION:A protectong film 4 of a metallic oxide or metallic compound like Al2O3, MgF2, etc. as well as a reflecting metallic film 3 of Al, Ni, Ti, etc. are formed on a disk 1 at the surface side where the signals 2 of image, voice, magnetism, etc. are distributed. The disk 1 is made of the resin having high beam transmittance such as the acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin, etc. While a protecting film 4' of Al2O3, MgF2, etc. is formed on the rear side of the disk 1. These films are all formed by a special ion coating method respectively. In particular, the signal reading beam is used for the reproducing system. For the optical reproduction system, a reflecting film is used to the 1st layer 3 with a protecting film used to the 2nd layer (exposed layer) 5 in a multilayer structure by considering the factors including the satisfactory reflection of beams, the protection of the disk surface, etc. |
