PURPOSE:To reduce the load imposed on a micro-computer, by adding a logical gate to a sensor for controlling the ignition timing of an internal combustion engine out of a plurality of sensor for detecting the angular position of rotation of the engine, and eliminating the time required for processing useless software at the time of high-speed operation of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In ignition controlling operation, interruption of an output signal P2 into internal operation of a micro-computer 11 is prohibited by a logical gate 24 by keeping an L-signal at an output terminal 25 of the micro-computer 11 in a high-speed operational range of engine where input of the output signal P2 is unnecessary. Operations other than the above are carried out in the same way as in the conventional ignition timing controlling apparatus. By employing such an arrangement, it is enabled to increase the number of angle signals and to thereby improve the accuracy of control without changing the processing speed and capacity of the micro-computer 11. |
