PURPOSE:To quickly and easily cope with a request of credit sales from customers, by providing a mode processionable for credit sales for an ECR, even if a card error is found in a secret number or a validity, when a customer code is read normally. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic cash register (ECR) which can make payment through the use of a magnetic card, the magnetic card recorded with a customer code, a secret number, and a validity is used, the said magnetic card is read with a magnetic card reader CRD. If at least the customer code is read normally, even if the secret number of the validity code is not correct, the mode which allows credit sales depending on the customer code read from the CRD is provided (a switch SW is selected to the X position), allowing to provide credit sales easily and instantly through the judgement of a shop manager or the like. |
