PURPOSE:To obtain a plurality of delay signals having a delay time determined depending on the positions of a plurality of ultrasonic wave beams, by detecting an ultrasonic wave signal through the use of the plural ultrasonic beams for signal detection and a plane wave light. CONSTITUTION:A plane wave light is made incident to an acoustooptic cell 1 having oscillators 4, 5 and an ultrasonic wave absorbing member 6a at the inner wall, and an ultrasonic wave signal is projected into an ultrasonic wave medium 2 filled in the cell 1 from the oscillators 4 and 5 to provide a phase change to the said phane wave light. The phase change is detected with an optical means using a lens 12 and a spatial opticall filter 14 and a plurality of ultrasonic wave beams and optically converted 17, allowing to obtain a plurality of delay signals different from time delay for the electric signal applied to the oscillator 4 at the same time. |
