<p>PURPOSE:To construct an apparatus capable of efficiently bonding a dam to glasses of various shapes, by circularly and horizontally moving a windshield glass side placed on a holding stand and simplifying the operation of the holder block side of a dam. CONSTITUTION:The end part of a dam 10 drawn out from a holder block 46 is pressed against the surface of the periphery of a windshield glass 7 fixed to a holding stand 28 to hold the end part. While rotating the holding stand 28 (i.e., the glass 7) in one direction and moving it horizontally, the dam 10 is drawn out to bond it to the whole circumference of the glass 7 along its periphery. In the above operation, the horizontal movement of the holding stand 28 is controlled through a controlling apparatus 27 by a signal from the position displacement detector 51 of abutting rollers 50, 50 in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the glass 7. At the corner part of the glass 7, the rotation of the holder block 46 is controlled by a signal from a tangential direction detector 55 for the glass edge of the rollers 50, 50. At the same time, the rotating speed of the holding stand 28 is controlled so as to be in inverse proportion to the angular velocity of the block 46.</p> |
