PURPOSE:To improve the occluding and discharging properties of a hydrogen occlusion material by a method wherein in the titled device adopted to occlude and transport hydrogen, a mixture of the hydrogen storing material and a foaming material is put into a vessel. CONSTITUTION:The mixture of hydrogen occlusion material 2 and foaming material 1 is put into a storage vessel 3. For the hydrogen occlusion material, magnecium alloys such as Mg2Ni and the like, titanium alloys such as TiFe and TiCo, rare earth alloys such as LaNi5, LaNi4Fe etc. and simple metallic substances such as V and Nb may be used and for the foaming material, a metal such as aluminum or its alloy and ceramics may be used selectively. It is noted that the foaming material 1 serves itself as hydrogen gas passages and therefore, the lowering of the occluding and discharging properties of the hydrogen occlusion material 2 due to cloggings can be prevented. |
