Device for the run-on of a yarn (20) unwound tangentially from a driven package (3), containing - two parallel shafts (1 and 2), against which the bobbin (3, 4) bears, - a yarn delivery unit (21) for the unwound yarn (20), characterised in that there are provided on both sides of the bobbin (3, 4) two guide elements (7 and 8) having two complementary working positions (A and B), of which one guide element (8) carries the bobbin (3, 4) on an axle (12) and allows the bobbin to be pieced and moved away from the driven shaft, and the other guide element (7) forms the draw-off point (9) for the yarn (20) when the bobbin (3, 4) is moved away, and releases the yarn when the bobbin or its package (3) is in contact with the driven shaft (1, 2). The invention is used for the unwinding of elasthane yarns. <IMAGE>
