PURPOSE:To obtain a dry type toner for developing an electrostatic image capable of good fixing with a heating roller without causing offset phenomenon, by adding a cross-linking agent, and a vinyl type polymer obtained by polymerizing its monomer in the presence of plural polymerization initiators different in half- life. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic image developing toner is formed by adding a polymer obtained by (suspension) polymerizing a vinyl type monomer in the presence of (i) a combination of polymerization intiators selected from that of longer 70 deg.C half-life tauA, such as benzoyl peroxide, and that of shorter 70 deg.C half- life tauB, such as 2,2-azobismethoxy-2,4-dimethylavaleronitrile so as to control tauA/tauB to 10-10<-6>, and (ii) a corss-linking agent, such as ethylene glycol diacrylate. |
