PURPOSE:To enable to install a screen over the total width of water-way without the formation of dead space, by a method wherein the operating mechanism for a rake which rakes up dusts is separately located at the upstream of the screen. CONSTITUTION:If an endless chain 6, located in front of a screen 2, is moved in a direction of an arrow mark, a rake arm 11 reciprocates vertically. Or, at a time when the rake arm 11 is raised, an working arm 13 is brought to a standing state, the rake arm 11 stretches obliquely downward, a rake 10 is brought into contact with the screen 2, and dusts are raked up through the upward movement of the rake to drop them into a dust tray 19. Then, the working arm 13 is brought to a tilting state following the movement of a shaft 9 around over an outer priphery of an upper sprocket 4, the rake arm 11 turns in a direction in which the rake 10 is detached from the screen 2, the working arm 13 widely inclines, and the rake 10 is brought into a state that it is widely separated to an upstream side from the screen 2. Finally, the working arm 13 stands upright again following the movement of the shaft 9 around over an outer periphery of a lower sprocket 5. |
