PURPOSE:To reduce effectively braking noise by disturbance of the wave forms of resonance noise produced upon braking by providing an odd number of noise suppressor consisting of slits or gaps which are slanting in the direction of rotation of a brake disk and are arranged at the same intervals. CONSTITUTION:An odd number of slits 5 which are slanting at alpha degrees in the direction of rotation as indicated by the arrow are provided at the same intervals on both braking surfaces 4, 4 of a brake disk 1. Those slits 5 are located at the same phases on both braking surfaces 4, 4 respectively and are extended over the entire width of each braking surface 4, 4. Even if resonance mode of an even number of oscillation tends to be produced as the brake pads clamp the two braking surfaces 4, 4 of the brake disk 1, the frequency of the resonance mode is disturbed and its periodic force is dissipated by passage of the odd number of the slits 5. |
