<p>The machine comprises a screening grill with gaps to pass grapes while retaining stacks. A vibrator mechanism oscillates the screen in a path having a vertical component. The harvested material to be sepd. is fed on to one end of the screen and grapeless stalks discharged at the other end. The material is pref. conveyed along the screen by its vibratory action which follows an oscillatory, inclined path with the upper end inclined towards the discharge end of the screen. The screen is pref. supported on resilient mountings set between surfaces parallel to the oscillatory path of the screen. The vibratory mechanism pref. comprises a rotary eccentric with connecting rod which is parallel to the oscillatory path when the top dead centre position is reached. The machine removes grapes much more effectively and with less damage than previous machines. Prod. quality is comparable to hand removal while machine output is achieved.</p> |
