A pump is proposed which serves for feeding liquid, especially fuel from a storage tank, to an internal-combustion engine. The feed pump comprises a piston, which is arranged in a chamber, can be moved in one direction by a magnetic field generated by means of a coil and in the opposite direction by means of a restoring force, and has a duct, which is arranged in its direction of movement and is provided with a non-return valve, running through it. For the purpose of returning the piston, a second magnetic field is present whose coil is arranged at a distance from the coil of the first magnetic field. The pump piston is thus moved back and forth by the magnetic fields generated by the alternately excited magnetic coils. <IMAGE>
